Terms of use
Last updated 29 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Templar Works Ltd ("Pluck", "we") for using the Pluck app. By signing up you accept them, so please read them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your information.
Who can use Pluck
You can use Pluck if:
- you're 18 or over,
- you're single, or in a relationship where meeting other people is agreed,
- you've never been convicted of a sexual or violent offence, and aren't required to register as a sex offender anywhere,
- we haven't removed you from Pluck before,
- you have only one account.
How Pluck works
Pluck is invite-only. Finishing your profile puts you on a waitlist, and we let people in in groups. Being on the waitlist, or having an invite code, doesn't guarantee a place or a date.
Once you're in, you get up to three new people each evening. Plucking someone starts a match with a 72-hour clock to agree a time and place. If no date is set in time, the match ends. We can change how Pluck works, including these numbers, to make it better.
Your account
- Use your own email address and keep access to it to yourself: whoever can read your sign-in codes can use your account.
- Tell the truth about yourself, including your age.
- Use photos of you, that you have the right to share. No photos of children, and no nudity.
How to behave
Pluck only works if people can trust each other. Don't:
- harass, threaten, insult or intimidate anyone, or keep contacting someone who has made clear they don't want it,
- send sexual content someone hasn't asked for,
- pretend to be someone else, or use a fake or misleading profile,
- ask for money, sell anything, advertise, or recruit for anything,
- share anyone's private information, including messages, without their agreement,
- post anything hateful, violent or illegal, or that infringes someone else's rights,
- use bots, scrape Pluck, or interfere with how it works or how it's secured.
Meeting people
We don't run identity or criminal record checks on members, and we can't promise anyone is who they say they are. You're responsible for your own safety. Meet in a public place, tell a friend where you're going, get there and home by yourself, and leave if you feel uncomfortable.
If anyone makes you feel unsafe, report them in the app (every match and every person in your drop has Report and Block). If you're in danger, call 999.
Your content
Your photos, messages and the rest of what you add stay yours. You give us permission to store, copy and show them within Pluck, only to run the service, for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account this permission ends, except for anything in a report, which we keep for safety (see the privacy policy).
Reports, moderation and suspension
We review reports and may remove content, take someone out of the evening drop, or suspend or close an account if we reasonably believe it breaks these terms or puts anyone at risk. Where it's safe to, we'll tell you why. If you think we've got it wrong, email safety@pluckdating.com.
Price
Pluck is free. If we ever add paid features, we'll tell you first, and you'll only pay if you choose to.
Ending
You can delete your account in the app at any time (Profile, then Delete account), or ask us to. We can close your account straight away for a serious breach of these terms, or with reasonable notice for any other reason.
Our responsibility to you
We'll provide Pluck with reasonable care and skill. We can't promise it will always be available or free of errors, or that you'll find a date.
We aren't responsible for what other members say or do, on Pluck or when you meet. We're not liable for losses that weren't foreseeable, or for business losses, because Pluck is for personal use only.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit, and nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app at least 14 days before. If you don't agree, you can delete your account before the change takes effect.
The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts where you live.
